Cosential is a web application company devoted to building simple, powerful, and useful tools for companies to organize and share their information. Cosential is a mash-up of the words of “Collaboration Essential.” Our company name is our mission.
We started in 1998 building CRM, Project Management, Knowledge Management and Extranet tools for the world’s leading Architecture, Engineering and Construction firms. Today thousands of users log in to Cosential everyday from firms in Honolulu to London. Our applications are used by single person firms up to 4,000 person construction companies. We are experts in building simple software for complex businesses.
How does a hosted application work?
We create and maintain the application on our servers. This enables us to keep our costs low and rapidly improve your software. Since we only have one environment to maintain, we don’t have to worry about supporting and testing and upgrading and bug fixing and developing for multiple environments. We upgrade at least once per month, instead of every 18 months. All upgrades are included.
Your data is hosted in servers in Tier 1 AT&T data centers. It is backed up in realtime Our servers sit on AT&T’s global backbone connected by OC192 connections and also are backed up by multiple OC48 connections by various other carriers.
The security of your data if protected by a 256 bit SSL connection.
We have over 8 years experience in managing our mission critical application for medium and large companies.

AKF Engineers a 300 person MEP firm selects Cosential to power resource planning, project management, firm-wide intranet, website content management, marketing, CRM and proposal automation. Cosential will replace several in-house database systems and integrate with Deltek Wind2 financial software, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange to create a simple to use common interface and dashboards for all employees.
